Installing Septic System - November 14 - 15, 2003As luck would have it, our ground does not "perc" very well, so we could not install a conventional septic system. After researching several systems and discussing them with our local health department, we decided to install an Eljen In-Drain Leachfield System. We didn't get photos of the finished system before it was covered up, but the following photos give an idea of how different this system is than a regular drain field. Installing Exterior Trim - December 18 - 23, 2003The following pictures show exterior trim added to the front deck windows and door December 18.
The following pictures show all exterior trim completed on windows, doors, dormers, etc., on December 23.
Garage Doors - December 23 - 24, 2003The left garage door was installed December 23, and the right door was installed December 24. (They were trimmed on the exterior on December 29.)
More Exterior Trim - December 29, 2003Boards were added around the subfloor to cover the banding boards and insulation between the logs and the subfloor.
Retaining Wall - December 29 - 30, 2003; February 18 - March ??, 2004We had some foundation block left over, so we added a small retaining wall beside the front deck to allow us to have a bigger side yard. The builders are working on the wall as weather permits.
