Painting Metal Brackets - September 27 - 28, 2003September 27, 2003 - Sanding and priming metal brackets (January 25, 2004 note: The black bedliner paint below tended to peel off of the primer. We ran short on metal brackets and had to order more from Jim Barna. We did not use primer on the second batch. The bedliner paint adhered to the metal and resulted in a much nicer finish which did not peel off when the brackets were installed.)

October 7, 2003 The first photo below shows a coil of flexible copper in the subfloor. As the second floor settles and pushes the water lines downward, the coil will absorb the settling to prevent damage to the lines. The water lines and conduit fit nicely through the floor trusses.

Installing HVAC - October 28 - December 10, 2003All HVAC materials were delivered on October 28, 2003. We met with the installers on October 30 to discuss register and cold air return locations. Register holes were cut out on November 5. The furnace was set, the main trunk line was started, and the metal "openings" were installed below all register holes on November 14.

Finishing Window Installation - November 26 and 28, 2003The custom glass above the kitchen window and the triangles in the foyer took awhile to be made, but they were finally received and were installed around Thanksgiving.
