The roof is made up of a "sandwich" of materials in the following order from bottom to top: 1 x 6 knotty pine tongue and groove, 15 lb. felt, wiring, 2 inch thick rigid foam insulation (2 layers), furring strips, 7/16" OSB board, 30 lb. felt, and shingles. In the following photos, the 1 x 6 tongue and groove and felt have already been added, and the decks, porches, and dormers have been constructed. The builders are adding fly rafters, completing the "sandwich," and adding fascia in small sections.
