The roof is made up of a "sandwich" of materials in the following order from bottom to top: 1 x 6 knotty pine tongue and groove, 15 lb. felt, wiring, 2 inch thick rigid foam insulation (2 layers), furring strips, 7/16" OSB board, 30 lb. felt, and shingles. In the following photos, the 1 x 6 tongue and groove and felt have already been added, and the decks, porches, and dormers have been constructed.
